Plastic Bags

I support the use of pockets, purses, backpacks, those cheap cloth bags that they sell for reuse at stores. Banning the use of grocery bags should be seriously considered, because of the extreme amount of damage that this one product has on the world. We aren’t including water bottles, individually wrapped candies, or hygiene products. To put it into perspective, there are hundreds of people who may pass through ONE store in One hour of the day. Lunch time. They come to get a drink, and a small salad. Or kids that get one drink and one candy bar and are given a WHOLE bag for these two measly things. Usually, they don’t even ask me if I want a bag or not. I HAVE MY OWN BAG! Well, Imagine the 300 or so people passing through this one store at this hour, and pulling one or two bags per person. And then the people who actually came to shop. SO MANY BAGS. Bring your own bag. For the sake of the next generation’s wealth of life.

I have gone into a store to buy a drink, and they bag it before I can say that I don’t want a bag. I take the drink out of the bag and arrange the bag back onto the bag rack, urging them to reuse it. I probably look insane, with my dreads and sweatpants and all, but if it is for the good of the earth, who cares.

One bag at a time,

If only every one is as thoughtful as u are, our world will be a much better place. It only takes a second or two to consider such things and act upon them but, who has the time for that right? we are doing this to ours selves, its sad 😦
