This weekend

I like to spend time with the animals in the shelter, outside of the kennel. Even though the other officers don’t care for it, I think it is necessary for their mental health. Can you imagine being cooped up in a kennel all day? Dogs are extremely social animals who can’t live without others. There is hardly such a  thing as a real “lone wolf”. Do you want to know something? The lone wolf always dies a sad death.

Anyways, when we spend time with the animals, it elongates their life. We put down animals when they start to go insane. The more mentally stable they are, the longer we get to keep them, and the more of a chance they have to get adopted.

Thank you for reading, and have a great day. Feel free to comment below.

You are absolutely right, it is really important to spend time with dogs even if they are at a shelter, it only helps their mental and i believe also emotional growth. they grow more confident and social, open and friendly 🙂
will b much easier for them to go to new homes, I wish all the animals from the shelters get good homes so they can live a good and happy life that they deserve like others 🙂

I throw a little party with the other officers when we get an adoption. It is so hard to watch good animals go, just because of a human’s stupid mistake.

Thank you. Somebody needs to do it, and I am glad I work with people that actually care. There used to be people that were only there for the money. O.o I heard terrible stories.
